Welcome

For many of us, Personal Computers are an indespensible part of our lives.  We get our news from them, we are entertained by them and we use them for our work.  For good or bad, they have provided us with a "digital lifestyle" that seems to be defining the current generation.  Whether you’re an old-school user that remembers when PCs didn’t have hard drives, or a freshly-minted Newbie, I’m sure you’ll find something here of value.

My name is Steve, but I’m known here as Doc.  I’ve been intimately connected with PCs since before DOS.  Since then, I’ve continued to be a hobbyist as well as working in the computer industry in both hardware and software support areas.

The PC has always been a source of endless utility and entertainment.  It has the ability to amaze and astound, but also can be the source of anger and irritation.  This site is dedicated towards helping relieve the pain and frustration that can result from the intrusion into your life by the PC and the technology that surrounds it.  We’ll deal with hardware and software, poor performance, crashes, upgrades and other maintenance issues.

Thanks for visiting!
